Designer perfumes

The very word perfume that we use  today derives from the Latin “per fumus”, meaning “through smoke” and  perfume and perfumery is not a new thing to us as it has existed since ancient times in the form of creating, making and using fragrant oils, salves, and aromatic waters. But now a day’s distillation is a procedure most commonly used for extracting oils from flowers. Prior to this, many liquid perfumes were mixtures of oil and crushed herbs or petals. Perfume and  cologne’s fragrance still matters in our life very much, as in our busy life style  these things keep our body fresh for a while and some times it is also an indicator of sophisticated nature and class.

Modern perfumery was started in the late 19th century with the commercial synthesis of aroma compounds such as vanillin or coumarin. But is perfume and cologne the same thing?  Well it can be said that other than the difference in the intensity of the fragrance of each, no, there is really no difference. But while men’s cologne tends to have a more traditionally strong masculine type of fragrance which are woody and warm, women’s perfumes are more soft and mild. But in recent times designers are often mixing fruity or floral essence with colognes to create a unisex fragrance that can be used by both men and women.

But what is this designer perfume? Well we often hear words like designer clothes, designer shoes so just like these items those perfumes created by designers ,we called them designer perfumes. But why this designer perfumes are special? They are special because the designers create new fragrance from time to time and each of them is different from the other. And how do they do this?  You see, music can’t be created without notes it’s the same with the perfumes it too has notes, top notes, heart notes and base notes and to make a fragrance a designer have to adjust those notes carefully.

Earlier we mentioned that perfumes indicate  the taste and the class of a man, it’s very true because now designer perfumes are really expensive. Perfumes and colognes like ANGEL by Thierry Mugler, Armani Code by Giorgio Armani, CK One by Calvin Klein, D and G Light Blue by Dolce Cabana, DESIGN by Paul Sebastian, Jessica MC Clintok by Jessica McClintok and many more are very costly, but still people use them because their fragrances are amazing and helps us make a style statement too.

We all love designer things as they add a special touch to our style, appearance. This trend is visible in perfumes too. Designer perfumes are popular with celebrities but even commoners also prefer a designer perfume to a regular one. I prefer buying designer perfumes too. There are online shopping sites where one could get a well compiled list of designer perfumes.
